The nettipattam has hemispherical plates called cinnamon (plate) or kumara (bubble). Each bubble depicts Pancha-boot has thrimoorthies, navagrahas, ashta-vasus, saptarishis, moola-Ganapathi etc. The nettipattmas are made of copper and gold/silver plated. Colorful woolen threads are attached at the border, and the ornament’s edge is perfect for traditional home decorative items. The designs are arranged on a red velvet cloth. Earlier, Nettipattam was used only during festivals. Still, nowadays, it is the latest fashion to use it as a wall hanging and is mostly found in every Kerala house as it brings positivity, prosperity, and peace.
